Anyone who has ever been touched by art lives their life differently. Richer. With more joy. And greater happiness. From that intimate experience, Cesart, a young gallery in Maastricht, the capital of enjoyment, was founded in 2018.

Cesart offers eight significant artists a space. A place to present themselves and their work to the world. Out of the conviction that they, of all people, deserve to be known. And out of the deep need to offer people the opportunity to experience their work together with others. Because for us, art is, above all, a visual form of love. An encounter with yourself and others at a level that often remains hidden in everyday life.

Cesart was born out of that love. And out of affection and admiration for a former colleague. He once owned a gallery just a stone’s throw from Cesart. It was a place of encounter, where everyone—seasoned enthusiast or curious layperson, celebrated entrepreneur or struggling student—experienced the same sincerely warm welcome. A gallery as an experience. Where looking, experiencing, and sharing were more important than buying.

We share his passion. And with Cesart, we express it in our own unique way. Each of us comes from a different background. But all driven by the same desire to experience together what is truly beautiful and valuable.
